Andy Geiger born March 23, 1939 was the director of athletics at five institutions over his career most notably holding that position for 11 years at The Ohio State University OSU which contained the largest athletics department in the country. A native of Syracuse, N.Y. , Geiger graduated from Syracuse University in 1961 and was a member of the crew team as an undergraduate. Beside Phenomenology philosophy phenomenology , he dedicated himself to psychology , epistemology and aesthetics . Life Moritz Geiger studied law at Munich in 1898, then history of literature in 1899, and finally philosophy and psychology in 1900, with Theodor Lipps . During the years 1901 1902, he studied experimental psychology with Wilhelm Wundt at Leipzig . Returning to Munich in 1904, he became part of the circle of students around Lipps, which included Alexander Pf nder , Adolf Reinach , Theodor Conrad , Aloys Fischer , Max Scheler , and Dietrich von Hildebrand . In 1906, Geiger attended Husserl s lessons in G ttingen , and became part of the Munich Circle of phenomenology, along with Reinach, Conrad, Fischer and Pf nder. He passed his thesis in 1907.
