Under the terms of the treaty, King George was no longer recognized as king, but only as a chief in a new entity called the Reserva Mosquita . ref Michael Olien, Micro Macro Linkages Political Structures on the Mosquito Coast, 1845 64, Ethnohistory 34 3 1987 256 87. ref As neither country exercised real governance over the region, the impact of this treaty was not terribly significant to King George s reign.
