Woodfarm is a residential district within East Renfrewshire , Scotland , located roughly 6 miles to the south of Glasgow . The area is sandwiched between the suburbs of Thornliebank and Giffnock , and lies next to Rouken Glen Park, which is regarded as one of the best parks in the Greater Glasgow area. The housing is a mix of mostly formerly council owned property, ex Army owned houses, older bungalows and villas, and newer flats and family homes built within the last twenty years. Woodfarm is served by the nearby Robslee, Thornliebank, and Our Lady of the Missions primary schools, as well as Woodfarm High School and St Ninian s High School, Giffnock St Ninian s High School . Like most schools in East Renfrewshire, they consistently perform well academically, and competition for placements from pupils outwith the catchment area is normally high. Woodfarm Playing Fields sports complex was completed in 2004. The development features a full sized football pitch, three five a side football pitches that can also be used as tennis courts , and a clubhouse with changing rooms. Woodfarm High School, opposite the complex, has use of the pitches on weekdays for physical education classes, while the public has access to the leisure facilities on evenings and weekends. Stamperland is a district of the small suburban town of Clarkston, East Renfrewshire , Scotland . The area s close proximity to Glasgow effectively makes it a suburb of the city, though it remains administratively separate. Adjoining districts are Netherlee to the north and Giffnock to the west it is also bordered by Clarkston Road to the west and the River Cart White Cart Water to the east. It is served by the Glasgow Central to East Kilbride line through Clarkston Station. The area is mainly housing, but there is a small group of local shops located at the junction of Clarkston Road and Stamperland Gardens. Also at this location is Stamperland Parish Church Church of Scotland . Other local facilities include a social club, bowling and tennis clubs and a gun club. Also nearby is the large Overlee Park and a small barbers at the top of the train station exit ramp. Stamperland was voted the 1245th best area in which to buy a home in the UK, according to a 2007 survey.
