    Lazzaro Vasari 1399 1468 , also known as Lazzaro Taldi and as Lazzaro di Niccol de Taldi , was an Italian painter who was born in the Province of Arezzo . His father was a potter, as was Lazzaro Vasari s son, Giorgio Vasari I . The painter Luca Signorelli 1441 1523 was Lazzaro Vasari s nephew, and the art historian Giorgio Vasari was his great grandson. Lazzaro Vasari s best known work is the fresco of Saint Vincent Ferrer in the Arezzo Basilica of San Domenico in Arezzo, Italy. He died in Arezzo in 1468 and was buried at the Chapel of San Giorgio in the same city. Beginning on the south side of the Palazzo Vecchio, it then joins the Uffizi Gallery and leaves on its south side, crossing the Lungarno dei Archibusieri and then following the north bank of the River Arno until it crosses the Ponte Vecchio . At the time of construction the Torre dei Mannelli had to be built around using brackets because the owners of the tower refused to alter it. The corridor covers up part of the fa ade of the chiesa di Santa Felicit . The corridor then snakes its way over rows of houses in the Oltrarno district, becoming narrower, to finally join the Palazzo Pitti . Most of it is closed to visitors. Giorgio Andreoli between 1465 and 1470 &ndash 1553 , named also Mastro Giorgio Andreoli or Mastro Giorgio , was born in Verbania Intra , on the Lake Maggiore , and died in Gubbio , where he spent most of his life, in 1555. He is considered to be the most important pottery potter of the italy Italian Renaissance . He is famous as inventor of a particular kind of lusterware lustro . In 1498 he became a citizen of Gubbio and in 1518 invented his remarkable lustre, the chief characteristics of which are its beautiful gold and carmine colors. Good examples of his Maiolica majolica may be found in the local museums of Gubbio, Urbino, Arezzo, and elsewhere in Italy, and also in the principal museums of decorative art in Europe , such as Berlin, Vienna, Paris, and South Kensington. ref New International Encyclopedia ref Not all works fired with his lustre were designed by him, for potters of the neighboring cities brought their work to him to be fired.
