Thulukkar are the Muslim population in south and central Kerala who speak Tamil language Tamil as their mother tongue. They are supposed to have migrated from Tamil Nadu to various parts of Kerala through the Western Ghats. Many members of Thulukkar community have migrated to Pakistan after independence have settled in Karachi , Sindh . They are called as anna in Kerala, owing to Pseudo Tamil Language they Speak. In north and central Kerala native Muslims are predominant and are called Mappila . While in the erstwhile Travancore region, Thulukkars are the common Muslims.
