It is not a single ridge, but rather a series of closely related ridges, some of which have names of their own. Randal Bays born 1950 is a fiddler , guitarist and composer . The American born Irish style fiddle and guitar player first gained international recognition through his recordings and performances with Co. Clare fiddler Martin Hayes in the early 1990s. He began playing music at the age of eight and was widely known as a fiddler in the U.S. long before recording with Hayes as guitar accompanist. Born in Indiana in 1950, Bays relocated to the Pacific Northwest as a teenager and has made his home in Oregon and Washington since then. His musical life included serious study of the classical guitar, prior to taking up Irish fiddling in the 1970s. At the time, he lived in Portland, Oregon, and was strongly influenced by fiddler Kevin Burke musician Kevin Burke and guitarist M che l Domhnaill . Since then Bays has recorded and performed with many of the leading Irish traditional musicians, including James Kelly, Martin Hayes, John Williams, Aine Meenaghan, D ith Sproule and James Keane . He now tours mostly as a solo performer and in a duo with South Carolina guitarist Davey Mathias. Mendocino Headlands State Park is a California State Park in Mendocino, California . It consists of convert 347 acre km2 1 of undeveloped seaside bluffs and islets surrounding the town of Mendocino, two beaches Big River Beach and Portuguese Beach , and the much larger Big River Unit stretching for eight miles 13 km along both banks of the nearby Big River California Big River . The park began operation in 1974, after several years of agitation from citizens concerned about the possibility of blufftop development. The Big River Unit was added in 2002.
