They also entered the Singapore league the following year, but had to withdraw part way through the season due to financial difficulties. The Cubs were managed by Nicholas Mitaros. Some of the team s higher profile players included Luis Rodriguez, Peter Politis, Manuel Lolias, Barbero, Hamilton Thorpe, Jason Petkovic , Cyril Ndongo Keller and Carlo Talladira, all of whom moved to or returned to Australian National Soccer League teams after the demise of the Cubs. She was born in Limerick , Munster and studied at the Slade School of Art in London , earning a scholarship in 1896. She married Bernard Darwin , the golf writer grandson of the British naturalist Charles Darwin in 1906. Their children were Ursula Darwin born 1908 2011 and Sir Robert Vere Darwin 1910 1974 . She illustrated some of her husband s books for children, such as the Tale Of Mr. Tootleoo and Every Idle Dream . She taught her husband s cousin Gwen Raverat engraving. She also designed the Abbey Theatre logo. Her brother John Robert Monsell was a children s author and illustrator, and collaborated with Herbert Hughes musicologist Herbert Hughes on Rivals , a 1935 musical version of Richard Brinsley Sheridan s The Rivals . It takes its name from Mount Darwin Tasmania Mount Darwin in the West Coast Range , where it was first reported, and later gave its name to Darwin Crater , a probable impact crater , and the inferred source of the glass. Occurrence Fragments of Darwin glass are found scattered over a 410 km area. Such an area is called a strewn field . On slopes and flat ground between 250 and 500 m elevation, the glass occurs with quartzite fragments buried under peat and soil. The peat is normally around 20 cm thick, and the quartzite fragment horizon is typically 30 cm thick. On mountain peaks higher than 500 m, the bedrock is directly exposed to the air, and Darwin glass occurs occasionally on the surface. In valleys below 220 m the Darwin glass is buried below peat and sediments. The glass occurs north, west and south from the crater.
