Hugo s is headquartered in the city of Grand Forks, North Dakota . The chain s stores are supplied by the Nash Finch Company which was once headquartered in Grand Forks, but moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1919. History The late Hugo Magnuson , founder of Hugo s and a former mayor of Grand Forks, opened his first grocery store, the Pure Food Market, in Grand Forks in 1939. Magnuson s grocery stores carried the Piggly Wiggly name for a period of years, before switching to the current Hugo s name. After Hugo s retirement, his son Curtis Magnuson became president of the chain. Hugo died in 2003 at the age of 102. Curtis died in 2007 at the age of 66. The chain is now run by Curtis daughter, Kristi Magnuson Nelson. Today, the chain operates eight stores exclusively under the Hugo s name. After going through the Franco German war he decided to devote his life to music, and studied accordingly at the Leipzig Conservatory . He then went to Bielefeld for some years as a teacher and conductor, but in 1878 returned to Leipzig as Privatdozent at the University. As a much desired appointment at the Conservatory did not materialize, Riemann went to Bromberg in 1880, but 1881 90 he was a teacher of piano and theory at Hamburg Conservatory. He set the inaugural world record in the pentathlon in Gothenburg , Sweden in 1911 with a score of 5516 points. He was born in Ljuder . The following year he competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm , Sweden. He finished second in the decathlon , behind American Jim Thorpe by 688 points. In 1913, after it had been discovered that Thorpe had played professional baseball for a minor league team, Thorpe was disqualified for not being an amateur. Wieslander was therefore declared the winner of the 1912 Olympics. He was awarded the Gold medal but refused to accept it. In 1982 Jim Thorpe was reinstated by the IOC with Hugo Wieslander as joint winners of the 1912 Olympic decathlon.
