Hussaini is 145 km north of Gilgit , the capital city. Hunza River flows in to the east while the Karakoram Highway KKH passes to its west. According to Ali Rehmat Musofer, a Geographer of the village Hussaini is situated at coord 36.448 N 74.901 E at an altitude of 2556 meters Source GPS above sea level. South of Hussaini is Gulmit , Ghulkin is to the southwest, while Passu is in the north with famous Batura glacier. Hussaini glacier is located to the west with famous Shisper peak , 7611 meter. Hussaini glacier and below Borith Lake . The newly irrigated land, called Zarabod is on the left bank. The total population is 545 persons, living in 75 households. Bublimating , while having little topographic prominence prominence above the saddle with nearby Hunza Peak, is particularly notable for being a sharp, relatively snowless rock spire among snow peaks. The district comprises Hunza princely state Hunza and Nagar princely state Nagar . Aliabad is the administrative center of this district. Before the announcement of new district, Hunza Nagar was part of district Gilgit. History In 1974 Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Butto ended the ghost governance of Rajhghee , with a single administrator, known as Raja . Formerly this region was divided into two states, Hunza and Nagar. Geography This area has a number of mountains such as Rakaposhi Gulmit , Diran Menapin , Golden peak Hopper , and Ulter peaks. Hopper is the name of a region within Hunza Nagar. It contains five villages, Hakalshal, Rattal, Broshal, Holshal and Ghashoshal. The population is around 10,000. It is situated at the altitude of 3000 m. Two mountains adjacent to Nagar valley, Golden peak and Shelter peak are situated here. The mountains contain at least two named glaciers, Hopper and Hisper. Culture The local language of the majority of the people of this region is Burushaski . The district comprises Hunza princely state Hunza and Nagar princely state Nagar . Sikandarabad is the administrative center of this district. Before the announcement of new district, Hunza Nagar was part of district Gilgit. History In 1974 Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Butto ended the ghost governance of Rajhghee , with a single administrator, known as Raja . Formerly this region was divided into two states, Hunza and Nagar. Geography This area has a number of mountains, such as Rakaposhi Gulmit , Diran Menapin , Golden peak Hopper , and Ulter peaks. Hopper is the name of a region within Hunza Nagar. It contains five villages, Hakalshal, Rattal, Broshal, Holshal and Ghashoshal. The population is around 10,000. It is situated at the altitude of 3000 m. Two mountains adjacent to Nagar valley, Golden peak and Shelter peak are situated here. The mountains contain at least two named glaciers, Hopper and Hisper. Karimabad, in Hunza Valley , is the capital of Hunza in Gilgit Baltistan , northern Pakistan . Karimabad is also known as Baltit . It is named after Aga Khan IV Prince Karim Aga Khan , the spiritual head of Shia Ismaili Nizari community.     The 1974 Hunza Earthquake was a magnitude 6.2 earthquake in the rugged and isolated Hunza Valley Hunza , Hazara, Pakistan Hazara and Swat Pakistan Swat districts of northern Pakistan at 12 11 UTC on December 28, 1974. The epicentre was located at 35.1 degrees north and 72.9 degrees east. The quake had a shallow focal depth and was followed by numerous aftershocks. An official estimate of the number killed was 5,300 with approximately 17,000 injured. A total of 97,000 were reported affected by the tremor. Most of the destruction was centred around the village of Pattan, Baramula district Pattan , located about convert 100 mi km north of the capital city of Islamabad . The village was almost completely destroyed. The epicental region is characterized by steep walled narrow canyon s and valley s. Most of the population was concentrated along the rivers. Much of the destruction was caused by the numerous landslide s and rockfall s which came tumbling down from high above. The main road leading into the area was blocked for about convert 25 mi km by landslides and rockfalls, hampering relief efforts. The government flew in emergency supplies by helicopter until the roads were reopened on 13th of January. The earthquake, which reached Mercalli intensity scale MMI V in Kabul , Afghanistan , affected some convert 1000 sqmi km2 of the Indus Valley region.
