IbrahimibnAl Walid lang ar was an Umayyad caliph . He only ruled for a short time in 744 before he abdicated, and went into hiding out of fear of his political opponents. The shortness of this time and his incomplete acceptance led Muhammad ibn Jarir al Tabari to state that he did not succeed in becoming caliph v. 26, p. 247 . However, at Tabari p. 13 does record that Ibrahim as caliph did confirm the appointment of Abdallah ibn Umar as governor of Iraq. v. 27, p. 13 Ibrahim was named heir apparent by his brother Yazid III . Marwan II decided to oppose Yazid III, and even though he later gave allegiance to Yazid, on the early death of that caliph, Marwan continued his own ambitions. Al Mundhir ibnal Nu man was the seventh Lakhmid king 418 461 . His mother s name was Hind bint Zayd Man t ibn Zayd Allah al Ghassanid Ghassani , and his father was al Nu man Iibn Imru al Qays al Nu man I . Yazdegerd I , who had strong relations with his father sent Mundhir his infant son Bahram Gur to be raise and educated in his court. After Yazdegerd s death, Persian nobles tried to reclaim Bahram from Mundhir, so Mundhir sent his son Nu man with a brigade then he personally escorted Bahram another brigade of 20,000 soldiers to Ctesiphon where the nobles, after some negotiations, acknowledged Bahram as their ruler. Later the Byzantine Empire Byzantines were upset at the persecution of Christians in the Persian lands where Bahram killed a number of them and Mundhir in turn was for the persecution and converted back to his paganism, the Byzantines besieged Nisibis so Bahram along with Mundhir went to lift the siege. Mugheerah eventually had a son named Ibraaheem, the father of Ismail IbnIbrahim . Life Ismail IbnIbrahim became a known scholar of Hadith , praised by Sunni Muslims as a man of great piety and sound reputation. Scrupulous in his habits, he is said to have mentioned on his deathbed that in all he possessed there was not a penny which had not been earned by his own honest labour.
