  1. Individual capacity

Unreferenced auto yes date December 2009 Wikify date December 2009 In law, individual capacity is a term of art referring to one s status as a natural person , distinct from any other role. For example, an officer, employee or agent of a corporation, acting in their individual capacity is acting as himself, rather than as an agent of the corporation. Thus, their actions, in their capacity as an individual would not generally incur a liability on the part of the corporation, nor would they have any protection from liability for their own actions as an individual. In general, a person may be said by a second party to be acting in their capacity as an individual, whenever the person s actions are the result of their own decisions, rather than being actions to which they are obligated in their capacity as an agent of another person or agency. 1. Individual reclamation

Anarchism sidebar Individual reclamation French language Fr reprise individuelle is a form of direct action , characterized by the individual theft of resources from the rich by the poor. Individual reclamation gained popular attention in the early 20th century as a result of the exploits of Anarchism anarchists and outsiders such as Ravachol and Cl ment Duval who believed that such Confiscation expropriations were ethical because of the exploitation of society by capitalists see Anti capitalism . Advocacy centered around France, Belgium, Great Britain and Switzerland. Conceptual origins In 1840, Pierre Joseph Proudhon, a French Anarchism anarchist , wrote What Is Property? , a question to which he famously answered property is theft . By this, Proudhon meant that legitimate private property could result only from an individual s labor and all other capital was, in effect, stolen. ref Parry, Richard. The Bonnot Gang. Rebel Press, 1987. p. 15 ref This economic world view converged in the minds of radicals with the Russian theorist Mikhail Bakunin s concept of propaganda of the deed , the use of physical violence against political enemies as a method of inspiring the masses. A marginal sector of European individualist anarchism derived the idea of individual reclamation as a means of breaking down what they perceived as the robbery of the laboring class by capitalists, politicians and the church. The individual s expropriation was regarded as legitimate resistance against an unfair social order, an ethical right to even the distribution of wealth. 1. Individual pursuit

Unreferenced date December 2009 The individual pursuit is a track cycling event where two cyclists begin the race from a stationary position on opposite sides of the track. The event is held over 4  km for men and 3  km for women. The two riders start at the same time and set off to complete the race distance in the fastest time. They will ride on the pursuit line at the bottom of the track in order to find the fastest line. This race makes for a good spectacle as the two riders pursue each other attempting to catch the other rider that started on the other side of the track. If the catch is achieved, then the successful pursuer is declared the winner. However they can continue to ride the rest of the race distance in order to set the fastest time in a qualifying race or a record in a final. The current Men s Olympic champion in this event is Great Britain s Bradley Wiggins . The current Men s World Champion in this event is Australia s Jack Bobridge . Qualification and race format The first round of the competition at major events is the qualifying round. This still involves two riders on the track at the same time but they are not directly competing against each other but attempting to set the fastest time to progress in the competition. In the Olympic Games the top riders progress into knock out rounds, with the top two surviving into the Gold and Silver medal race and next two into the Bronze Medal race. In the World Championships or World Cup Classic events, the top two riders from the qualifying round progress directly to the Gold and Silver medal race while the third and forth qualifiers fight it out for Bronze. 1. Susceptible individual

Cleanup date December 2007 In epidemiology a susceptible individual sometimes known simply as a susceptible is a member of a population who is at risk of becoming infected by a disease, or can not take a certain medicine, antibiotic, etc if he or she is exposed to the infectious disease infectious agent . Susceptible individuals Susceptibles have been exposed to neither the wild strain of the disease nor a vaccination against it, and thus have not developed immune system immunity . Those individuals who have antibody antibodies against an antigen associated with a particular infectious disease will not be susceptible, even if they did not produce the antibody themselves for example, infants younger than six months who still have maternal antibodies passed through the placenta and from the colostrum , and adults who have had a recent injection of antibodies . However, these individuals soon return to the susceptible state as the antibodies are broken down. Some individuals may have a natural resistance to a particular infectious disease. However, except in malaria some special cases , these individuals make up such a small proportion of the total population that they can be ignored for the purposes of mathematical modelling in epidemiology modelling an epidemic . Mathematical model of susceptibility The proportion of the population who are susceptible to a particular disease is denoted S . Due to the problems mentioned above, it is difficult to know this parameter for a given population. However, in a population with a population pyramid rectangular population distribution such as that of a developed country , it may be estimated by math S frac A L math Where A is the average ... group assuming an individual is susceptible before contracting the disease and immune afterwards ... of an individual s life spent in one group is representative of the proportion of the population ... references DEFAULTSORT Susceptible Individual Category Epidemiology kk nl Ziektevatbaarheid ...   more details
