This is the Hunting dog dog that medieval feudal lords used for their hunts. The breed declined heavily in numbers because firearms made other hunting styles more popular and hunting with sight hound s became rare. The breed is outstanding as a sight hound and possesses not only great speed but also great endurance. The dog is muscular and his muscles are dry but strong. The levriero is diffident towards strangers but very affection ate with its owner. Males stand between 65 to 72 cms at the withers and females are a little shorter standing between 60 and 68 centimeters. The teeth are strong and well developed and the Canine tooth canines are long and very strong. Motivated by a post war Return to order call to order , they were brought together by Lino Pesaro, a gallery owner interested in modern art, and Margherita Sarfatti , a writer and art critic who worked on Italian dictator Benito Mussolini Benito Mussolini s newspaper, Il Popolo d Italia The People of Italy Il Popolo d Italia . Sarfatti was also Mussolini s mistress. The movement was officially launched in 1923 at an exhibition in Milan , with Mussolini as one of the speakers. After being represented at the Venice Biennale of 1924, the group split and was reformed. The new Novecento Italiano staged its first group exhibition in Milan in 1926. In 1861, with the initiative of the Italian diplomats, a part time school was opened. However, the Societ Operaia Italiana di Mutuo Soccorso di Costantinopoli Italian Workers Mutual Aid Society of Constantinople was unsatisfied with this school and threatened prosecuting the Italian government due to the fact that they didn t pay enough attention to the ex pat schools found outside of Italy, so in the year 1888 the Royal Italian Primary & Secondary School was founded in Polonya Street.
