It began as a subsidiary under the ownership of the Unigate Unigate dairy company with most production sites in the south west of England and some in Wales . Most of its brands were bought in the early 2000s by Dairy Crest following a severe decline in doorstep deliveries of milk previously a major area of business for owners Unigate. Low fat spreads The spreads division, which includes the Gold low fat brand, manufactured in Kirkby in Merseyside , were bought by Dairy Crest in November 2002 for 86m from Uniq. Uniq had been formed from what was left of Unigate after selling its cream division to Dairy Crest in 2000. When the spreads division had gone as well, Uniq and the former Unigate were barely recognisable. Cream The cream division was bought by Dairy Crest from Unigate Unigate Uniq in July 2000. Yoghurts St Ivel, being owned by Uniq Unigate, used to make Shape yoghurts in Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire , before this brand was sold off to Danone for 32m. Unreferenced date July 2010 The St. Ivel International was an annual international figure skating competition in Great Britain sponsored by the National Ice Skating Association . It included competition in all four skating disciplines, and in most years it was held in late September or early October at the Richmond, London Richmond ice rink. This competition was first held in 1978 under the name Rotary Watches International and was renamed in 1980 when it became sponsored by the St. Ivel cheese brand. In 1988, the event was renamed to or replaced by Skate Electric , which in some years was held in both spring and fall versions. The competition originally scheduled for October 1991 was cancelled due to loss of sponsorship, and the British federation has not held another annual senior international competition in the years since. Robert Hasler, seen driving the Digger, helped to build this first prototype. In effect the machine was an early tractor designed mainly for ploughing, and could accomplish convert 1 acre m2 adj on an hour 1 m s to a maximum depth of 14 inches 360 mm . This first digger was constructed on pedestrian principles and had six feet and really did walk over the fields. Unfortunately it jumped too much to be really successful. The digger was later modified to have wheels in place of the legs. At the age of 19 he was badly kicked by a horse, and this necessitated one of his legs being amputated.
