J.T. Wamelink 10 November 1827, Aalten , Gelderland 31 December 1900 born in the Netherlands, was a prominent musician and composer in Cleveland, Ohio . File JT Wamelink.jpg thumb alt 1827 to 1900 Emigration to Cleveland In 1835, Wamelink and his family, father Hermanus Wamelink and mother Maria Johanna Francisca De Reuwer Wamelink emigrated to Cleveland , Ohio , with his eight siblings. Wamelink as a youth of fourteen, became the first organist of St. Mary on the Flats. When the superstructure of the cathedral was completed, a new organ was installed, which the Cleveland Herald of that time refers to as the finest in the district. For a period, Wamelink moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and while there worked as a composer in conjunction with Charles B. Barr. In 1853 Wamelink married Catherine Sweetland, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Pittsburgh then returned with her to Cleveland , where he continued to work in music. Years in Cleveland, Ohio Upon his return to Cleveland , Wamelink opened a piano shop on Superior St. He continued as a composer, music, and voice teacher, and for nearly 30 years was the organist at St. John s Cathedral in Cleveland . He was the founder of the Hayden Society the first musical society in Cleveland and served as its director for many years. He died on 31 Dec 1900, and is interred in the St. John s Cemetery. NOTOC JT Storage also known as JTS Corporation was a maker of inexpensive Advanced Technology Attachment IDE hard drive s for personal computer s based in San Jose, California . It was founded in 1994 by Sirjang Lal Tandon Jugi Tandon &mdash the inventor of the double sided floppy disk drive and founder of Tandon Corporation &mdash and Tom Mitchell, a co founder of Seagate Technology Seagate and former president and Chief Operating Officer of both Seagate and Conner Peripherals . The company later merged with Jack Tramiel s Atari Corporation , and was declared bankrupt in 1999. Early years and products JTS initially focused on a new 3 form factor drive for laptop s. The 3 form factor allowed a larger drive capacity for laptops with the existing technology. Compaq Computers was actively engaged in qualifying these drives and built several laptops with this form factor drive. Lack of a second source was a major obstacle for this new form factor to gain a foot hold JTS licensed the form factor to Western Digital to attempt to remedy this problem. Eventually, as 2.5 drives became cheaper to build, interest in the 3 form factor waned, and JTS and WD stopped the project in 1998. Citation needed date January 2008 JTS by then had become a source of cheap, medium performance 3.5 drives with 5400 RPM spindles.
