It is adjacent to the larger crater Hess crater Hess to the southeast, and lies about mid way between the craters Alder crater Alder to the north northeast and Abbe crater Abbe to the south southwest. The outer rim of Boyle is nearly circular, and displays some slumping around the interior. Most of the rim is sharp edged and displays little appearance of wear due to subsequent impacts. The southern rim, however, is overlain by a wide, irregular groove in the surface that follows a course from east to west along the rim. There is also an overlapping formation of tiny craterlets overlapping the narrow strip of terrain that joins Boyle to Hess. The interior of the crater is relatively flat, with a long, low central ridge at the mid point. This rise is aligned in a linear formation from southwest to northeast. There is a tiny craterlet near the eastern rim, but the interior is otherwise undistinguished. 1. Boyle temperature

In thermodynamics, the Boyle temperature is defined as the temperature for which the second virial coefficient , math B 2 T math vanishes, i.e. math B 2 T 0 math . It is at this temperature that the attractive forces and the repulsive forces acting on the gas particles balance out. Since higher order virial coefficients are generally much smaller than the second coefficient, the gas tends to behave as an ideal gas over a wider range of pressures when the temperature reaches the Boyle temperature. In any case, when the pressures are low, the second virial coefficient will be the only relevant one because the remaining concern terms of higher order on the pressure. We then have math dZ dp 0 math at math p 0 math , where Z is the compressibility factor . Defination in simple language Boyle Temperature It is the temperature at which a non ideal gas behaves like an ideal gas.
