    The Reverend John Allen Wedgwood 1796 1882 , normally known as Allen Wedgwood was rector of Maer, Staffordshire Maer Staffordshire . Wedgwood was the fifth of six children and the fourth and youngest son of John Wedgwood 1766 1844 , and his wife Louisa Jane Allen. He was the grandson of the esteemed potter Josiah Wedgwood . On 29 January 1839, he officiated at the wedding of his cousins Charles Darwin and Emma Wedgwood in an Anglican ceremony arranged to also suit the Unitarianism Unitarians in St Peter s Church at Maer Hall . He also officiated at the funeral of Charles brother Erasmus Alvey Darwin in 1881 and he himself died the year after.     Henry Allen Harry Wedgwood 4 April 1799 17 October 1885 was an English barrister . Wedgwood was the third child and second son of Josiah Wedgwood II and his wife Elizabeth Allen. He was a grandson of the illustrious potter Josiah Wedgwood and a brother in law of the naturalist Charles Darwin . He married twice, firstly on 28 February 1821 in Thames Ditton , Surrey to Caroline White and secondly on 26 October 1830 to his double first cousin Jessie Wedgwood, daughter of John Wedgwood 1766 1844 and his wife Louisa Jane Allen. He had six children from this marriage Louisa Frances later Kempson b.1834, Caroline Elizabeth b.1836, John Darwin b.1840, Anne Jane b.1841, Arthur b.1843 and Rowland Henry b.1847.     Godfrey Wedgwood 22 January 1833 9 October 1905 was a partner in the Wedgwood pottery firm from 1859 to 1891. Wedgwood was born in Etruria Hall , the son of Francis Wedgwood 1800 1880 Francis Wedgwood and his wife Frances Mosley. He was taken into partnership by his father in 1859, and was later joined by his younger brothers Clement Wedgwood Clement and Laurence Wedgwood Laurence . He and his brothers were responsible for the reintroduction of bone china c. 1876 and the employment of the artists Thomas Allen and Emile Lessore . In 1898, like his great grandfather Josiah Wedgwood , he suffered the amputation of his right leg. He married twice, first to Mary Jane Jackson Hawkshaw c. 1836 1863 on 24 June 1862 at St. Peter Pimlico, Westminster, Middlesex with whom he had a son Cecil Wedgwood 1863 1916 but she died in 1863. And secondly on 14 October 1876 in Marylebone Registry Office to his cousin Hope Elizabeth Wedgwood, daughter of Hensleigh Wedgwood . They had a daughter Mary Euphrasia Wedgwood 1880 1952 . He was the son of Sir Joshua Allen . In 1691 he was appointed High Sheriff of County Dublin and then represented Dublin County Parliament of Ireland constituency Dublin County as an MP three times, from 1692 to 1693, from 1703 to 1713 and from 1715 to 1717. Allen sat also as Member of Parliament MP for Carlow County Parliament of Ireland constituency Carlow County between 1795 and 1703 and then for Wicklow County Parliament of Ireland constituency Wicklow County between 1713 and 1715. Born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts , he attended the common schools and studied at the Litchfield Law School . He was admitted to the bar law bar in 1786 and commenced practice in Litchfield, Connecticut he was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1793 to 1796 and served as clerk in 1796. Allen was elected as a USFederalist Federalist to the Fifth Congress , serving from March 4, 1797 to March 3, 1799. He declined to be a candidate for renomination in 1798, and was a member of the State council and of the Connecticut Supreme Court Supreme Court of Errors from 1800 to 1806. He continued the practice of law in Litchfield until his death in 1812 interment was in East Cemetery. John W. Allen , John Allen s son, was a U.S. Representative from Ohio .
