Jerry Joseph is an American singer, songwriter, and guitar player. Joseph was born on April 23, 1961, and grew up in the San Diego area. He started playing guitar professionally at age 15 while living in New Zealand . After moving to Arcata, California , he formed the rock reggae band Little Women band Little Women in early 1982 and recorded two albums. Little Women featured Louis Butts on bass, Geoff George on keyboards, Brad Rosen on drums, Gregg Freeman on percussion, and several guitarists, including Greg Malar, Steve Smith, and Steven James Wright. They mainly toured the Rocky Mountain states and Pacific northwest. Little Women broke up in 1993. In 1996, Joseph formed the band Jackmormons with bassist J.R. Ruppell and drummer Dave Pellicciaro and released several more albums for Cosmo Sex School Records. Drummer Brad Rosen later rejoined Joseph, replacing Pellicciaro. cleanup date January 2009 Joseph Huntley was a 19th century biscuit maker and innovator, who lived in the England English town of Reading, Berkshire Reading . In 1822 he founded a small biscuit baker and confectioner shop at number 72 London Street. Business At this time, London Street was the main stage coach route from London to Bristol , Bath, Somerset Bath and the West Country . One of the main calling points of the stage coaches was the Crown Inn, opposite Joseph Huntley s shop and he started selling his biscuits to the travellers on the coaches. Because the biscuits were vulnerable to breakage on the coach journey, he started putting them in a metal tin. Out of this innovation grew two businesses Joseph the elders biscuit shop that was to become the famous biscuit manufacturer Huntley & Palmers , and Huntley, Bourne and Stevens , a firm of biscuit tin manufacturers founded by his younger son, also called Joseph. Early life Joseph Glasco was born in Pauls Valley , Oklahoma , but grew up in Texas. New York Glasco moved to New York and In 1949, after his first one person exhibition in New York City , became the youngest artist represented at that time in the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art. Glasco s work has often been compared to the work of Jackson Pollock and in the mid 1950s, he became friends with Pollock, sharing an intimacy over the shared themes of each other s work. Later years Glasco moved back to Texas in the mid 1970s, locating in Galveston to a loft on the Strand. Joseph Tracy Gregory was born in Eureka, California , the only child of Frank Gregory, a civil engineer, and Edith Tracy, a high school teacher. He grew up in Berkeley, California and continued with his college education there, graduating from the University of California with an A.B. in 1935, and receiving his doctorate in 1938. During World War II , he served as a lieutenant in the Army Air Forces in the weather service. After the war, he became Assistant Professor of Geology at Yale University , as well as Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Peabody Museum of Natural History . In 1960, he moved to the University of California at Berkeley , where he was Professor of Vertebrate Paleontology, eventually retiring in 1979 as Emeritus Professor. He was especially active in researching the paleontological record of the Western United States. In his later career, he gained notice as the primary editor of the annual Bibliography of Vertebrate Paleontology. The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology s Joseph T. Gregory Award is given annually since 1992 for contributions to the welfare of Vertebrate Paleontology. He married Jane Everest in 1949.
