In this project, students attend Library & Archives to study files of World War I and World War II soldiers. This helps students understand the contributions made for them, by the military. The program began in 2001 after Blake Seward, a history teacher from Smiths Falls, Ontario decided to teach his class about WWI through researching soldiers, nurses and other participants in the war. In January 2010, Library and Archives Canada announced cutbacks to the program. Through a joint effort with the Canadian Legions of Canada and the War Museum, the program still exists for the use of students. Plot summary John Heath is a dead average man working for Quantum Pharmaceuticals. Unhappy with his average position in the company and in life, he searches for a way to improve himself and at the same time impress his fianc e, Susan Collins. When researchers from Quantum give him the opportunity, he volunteers to be a test subject for a new drug that allows total memory recall. When the drug succeeds and John is able to remember everything and anything that he has ever read or heard down to the exact word, he goes on a rampage to climb the corporate ladder in his company, blackmailing his superiors into conceding to his demands. When his bosses and the researchers who gave him the drug trick him and lock him in one of the rooms in the office building, they try to inject him with the antidote for the recall drug. Susan, however, comes to his rescue, and although they never succeed in giving him the antidote after he suffers a traumatic shock, the bosses believe he has lost the power , John promises to Susan never to use his new power for malevolence, while the possibility remains open that maybe one day everyone could possess that ability. The 47th United States Colored Infantry Regiment was a United States Colored Troops U.S.C.T. infantry regiment of the Union Army during the American Civil War . He lived in that city in the first half of the seventeenth century. He was descended from the Spanish originally Portuguese Cardoso family, and was one of the first Jewish settlers in Hamburg. In 1630 Cardoso founded the first Portuguese synagogue in the city. In so doing he risked the displeasure of the Senate of Hamburg , which did not care to grant the Jews permission to build a synagogue, lest the attention of the fanatical population of Hamburg should be attracted to them.
