Drug intolerance or drug sensitivity is a lower threshold to the normal pharmacologic action of a drug. It is not to be confused with drug allergy . Drug intolerance is uncommon and idiopathic , thus extremely difficult to predict except in persons with a prior history or a family history of intolerance to that specific drug. 1. Exercise intolerance

Unreferenced date August 2008 Exercise intolerance is a condition where the patient is unable to do physical exercise at the level or for the duration that would be expected of someone in his or her general physical body physical condition, or experiences unusually severe post exercise pain , fatigue medical fatigue , or other negative effects. Exercise intolerance is not a disease or syndrome in and of itself, but a symptom . Since there are many possible specific reasons why exercise could be inhibited, this is a rather slippery term. For instance, the patient may experience unusual breathlessness dyspnea , muscle pain myalgia , or increasing muscle weakness medical weakness while exercising, or may, after exercise, experience severe headache , nausea , dizziness or extreme fatigue. In most cases, the specific reason that exercise is not tolerated is of considerable significance when trying to isolate the cause down to a specific disease. Causes Exercise intolerance is primarily found in cardiorespiratory disorders. It is also a common symptom in chronic fatigue syndrome . Several heart conditions, such as a cardiac arrhythmia abnormal heart rate or rhythm or an aortic valve insufficiency , if severe enough can cause activity problems such as shortness of breath and or exercise intolerance. People with acute back pain from an injury or chronic back pain e.g., from a degenerative condition may also experience exercise limitations due to muscle spasms or limited range of spinal motion. Overtraining and undiagnosed anaemia can also cause the intolerance. Treatment Exercise is key for many heart and back patients, and a variety of specific exercise techniques are available for both groups. Some exercise specialists are trained in modifications specific to these patients Who date August 2009 . 1. Religious intolerance

Discrimination sidebar Religious intolerance is Toleration intolerance against another s religious beliefs or practices or lack thereof. Definition The mere statement on the part of a religion that its own beliefs and practices are correct and any contrary beliefs are incorrect in itself constitutes intolerance i.e., ideological intolerance . On the other hand, religious tolerance would mean that each person is free to chose his own faith and no other person would have a right to pass opinions on the faith of an other person. While christianity may be the faith of A, Islam may be the faith of B. If A or B try to tell each other that the other is on the way to hell then that would be intolerance. It is also known as hereditary fructosemia. Signs and symptoms If fructose is ingested, other symptoms such as vomiting, hypoglycemia , jaundice , hemorrhage , hepatomegaly , hyperuricemia and eventually kidney failure will follow. Cause The deficient enzyme is aldolase B , which converts fructose 1 phosphate to DHAP and glyceraldehyde . This means that the fructose cannot be further metabolised beyond fructose 1 phosphate. This traps phosphate s, which are needed to phosphorylate glycogen phosphorylase , which functions to release units of glucose 1 phosphate from glycogen. Glucose 1 phosphate is converted to glucose 6 phosphate and then dephosphorylated to form glucose . In addition, Aldolase A plays an important role in gluconeogenesis , producing fructose 1,6 bisphosphate from glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate and DHAP. Though glucose may still be released through the breakdown of glycogen , it cannot be synthesized from gluconeogenesis . This causes severe hypoglycemia .
