The Schlern dominates the villages of Seis am Schlern and V ls am Schlern , and the summit can be reached following the circular route marked with the number 1 from both villages. At convert 1700 m ft 0 , there is the Schlernboden inn and on the summit plateau is the Schlernhaus inn convert 2457 m ft 0 , both open from 1 June to 15 October. The Schlern is sung of in the Bozner Bergsteigerlied as one of South Tyrol s landmarks. The original line up was Jeff Hanks Guitar and Dave Ladin Vocals Guitar from the Rhode Island Ska Punk band Racketball and Christian Blaney Vocals Bass and Paul Sumner Drums of the local Rhode Island hardcore punk band Arson Family. It can be driven around by car crossing the Campolongo Pass , Pordoi Pass , Sella Pass , and Gardena Pass . In winter it is possible to ski around the entire massif by using the Sellaronda ski lift carousel.
