It flows west southwest through the mountains, past Cassandra, Pennsylvania Cassandra , Portage, Pennsylvania Portage , and Summerhill, Pennsylvania Summerhill , where it is joined by the South Fork Little Conemaugh River . It joins the Stonycreek River at Johnstown, Pennsylvania Johnstown to form the Conemaugh.
