Kennedy Community Schools , was formerly known as the small learning community BAPA Belmont Academy of Performing Arts which was established in 1998. As was BAPA s mission, LAHSA continues to prepare its student body to go onto any four year university, but an emphasis is placed in the performing arts drama, singing and dancing. LAHSA students are exposed to behind the scenes careers in performance. Students take classes in Scenic design set design , sound production, and lighting design.
