The Lotus 32 was a Formula 2 racing car built by Team Lotus in 1964. It was developed from the Lotus 27 Formula Junior model. 12 cars were produced, but only 4 competed in the Ron Harris Team Lotus entrants Drivers Jim Clark and Mike Spence . Jim Clark drove the Lotus 32 to win the 1964 Formula 2 Championship. The whole new chasis of the 32 had aluminium monocoque with steel front rear bulkhead and centre section to bring it up to weight. Suspension followed the usual Lotus practice coil spring damper units were mounted inboard at the front and outboard at the rear. The front wishbones were slightly wider based while rear geometry had changed and there was full adjustability unlike the Lotus 27 . The Girling brakes were outboard all round. The Lotus 32 Formula 2 car featured a Cosworth SCA 998 cc Engine with twin 40DCM2 Weber carburattors, producing Convert 115 bhp kW 0 abbr on at 8700 rpm. The engine was canted over at an angle of 25 degrees in the chassis and was mated to a Hewland Mk IV 5 speed gearbox. At the end of the 1964 F2 season Colin Chapman modified the car to a Lotus 32B in picture . It was developed from the 1962 Lotus 20 , with the major differences that it had disk brakes all round, had a top link to the rear suspension, and had a dry sump engine that was canted over to lower the centre of gravity. The 22 is a single seat race car primarily for the Formula Junior series and most had a 1098 cc Cosworth MAE engine with about Convert 100 hp kW 1 abbr on .     Lotus Isle Amusement Park opened on June 27, 1930. Known as the Wonderland of the Pacific Northwest , was located in Portland, Oregon Portland , Oregon , just off the east tip of Hayden Island . Lotus Isle was located just east of the more successful Jantzen Beach amusement park. Lotus Isle spread out over convert 128 acre km2 and at the time was Portland s largest amusement park. In 1928, a temperamental bull elephant named Tusko was sold to Lotus Isle from John Ringling . The elephant soon destroyed several pavilions after being spooked by a low flying stunt plane. The fun was cut short as tragedy struck on August 28, 1930 when a young boy drowned after falling from the 3 4 mile long roller coaster. The next day, owner Edwin Platt committed suicide. Subsequent management tried new attractions to draw crowds, but on August 24, 1931, just less than one year after the drowning, the park s 90,000 ballroom burned down. Lotus Isle Park lasted one more season, until 1932, when its assets were sold in bankruptcy.
