The schoolhouse was built in 1903, and was one of the first buildings in the area that did not use log construction. The school functioned as a church and Sunday school, and as a community meeting place. It was used as a school until the 1950s, and as a community meeting house until the 1970s. The school is set in a wild landscape of greasewood overlooking the Shell Creek Valley, six miles east of Greybull, Wyoming Greybull and eight miles west of Shell, Wyoming Shell in US 14 . The one story building measures approximately convert 24 ft m by convert 46 ft m . The facade is executed in coursed ashlar sandstone , while the secondary elevations are in rock faced sandstone in random coursing. The building is enered through double doors with a fixed transom above, and a 1903 datestone above the rock faced stone lintel. The hipped roof features a wood framed bell tower. The interior was one room with wainscoting and a wood floor.     Christian Lower January 7, 1740 December 19, 1806 was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania . Biography Christian Lower was born in Tulpehocken Township, Pennsylvania . He worked as a blacksmith and was later proprietor of an iron foundry. During the American Revolution , he served as a colonel of associated battalions in 1775 and sublieutenant in 1780. He was county commissioner of Berks County, Pennsylvania , frpm 1777 to 1779. He was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1783 1785, 1793, 1794, and 1796. He served in the Pennsylvania State Senate from 1797 to 1804.
