At the age of 13 she removed with her parents to Suwa ki Suwalki , where she continued her Hebrew studies under the Hebraist Paradiesthal , devoting herself at the same time to the German language German and French language French languages and literatures. She then translated German novels into Hebrew, her first attempt being a translation of Philippson s Der Fl chtling aus Jerusalem in manuscript . Family troubles, however, prevented her from devoting herself entirely to this class of work, and only one book of hers was published, namely, Ha Yehudim be Angliya , i. Warsaw, 1869 , a translation in pure and elegant Hebrew of Francolm s Die Juden und die Kreuzfahrer .
