    Image Shrubland Hall.jpg thumb Shrubland Hall Shrubland Park stands on an abrupt glacial ridge in Suffolk , England overlooking the River Gipping Gipping Valley between Ipswich and Needham Market . The first recorded owner was Robert de Shrubeland, although there is evidence of occupation on the site since the Roman period. The Grade II listed building listed hall was designed by James Paine architect James Paine in the 1770s and survives as the central core on the present building. The entrance was originally at ground level on the garden side. While Gandy Deering made extensive alterations in the 1830s. There was a major remodelling of the building in 1850 by Sir Charles Barry who also designed the gardens.     Use dmy dates date October 2011 The Maquis de Rieumes was one of the Maquis World War II maquis groups of French resistance fighters during the Second World War. In 1942, the Juge d instruction of Muret , Andr Reboul, along with other patriots, founded the group which in 1944 would become the Maquis de Rieumes. In 1943, the group reinforced itself and was joined by, among others, Jules Delattre, a retired air force captain who would become the commander of the Maquis de Rieumes. It was also joined by some other Rieumois Doctor Robert Roger M decin Capitaine de r serve , Doctor Charles Chwartz M decin Lieutenant de r serve , Jean L cussan a retired army Adjudant chef . The year 1943 was devoted to recruitment, training and to the organization of teams in the villages of the cantons of Auterive, Haute Garonne Auterive , Carbonne , Muret and Rieumes . In 1944, events gained momentum following parachute drops announced by radio Londres , and an arms depot was set up in Rieumes. On 1 June, battle stations were announced with the message Messieurs, faites vos jeux . On the 5th, two more messages, Le p re la Cerise est verni and Veronese tait un peintre communicated the Normandy landings . In the night, the teams met up in the wooded part of Rieumes and divided themselves into three companies, one of which was based in the forest of Lautignac Sav res.     The Maquis de Vabre were an organisation of French Resistance fighters in the east of the Tarn, France Tarn department during the Second World War , which was gradually built up by local militants.
