Jean Baptiste CharlesMarie de Beauvais b. at Cherbourg , 17 October 1731 d. at Paris, 4 April 1790 was a French bishop of Senez . Life The sermons he preached before the court during Advent , 1768, and Lent, 1773 , raised his reputation as a pulpit orator to such a height that he was promoted to the See of Senez. He is considered one of the best preachers of the eighteenth century. In 1783 he resigned his bishopric and settled at Paris. In 1789 he was made a member of the Estates General of 1789 States General . Works His sermons were printed at Paris in 1806, prefaced by an account, written by the Abb Boulogne , of the preacher and his discourses. The most celebrated of his funeral orations is the one on Louis XV this discourse, however, failed to please the courtiers. The best of his panegyrics are one on St. Augustine , delivered before the Assembly of the Clergy of France , and one on St. Louis , before the Acad mie Fran aise . Marie Joseph Charles, 6th Duke d Ursel Brussels 1848 Strombeek Bever 1903 , was a Belgian politician. Joseph d Ursel was the second son of Leo, 5th Duke d Ursel 1805 1878 , and his second wife Henriette d Harcourt. Joseph s elder brother died before inheriting the title, so Joseph became the 6th Duke on the death of his father. In 1872 he married Antonine de Mun 1849 1931 , sister of Count Albert de Mun . He was provincial councilor, then governor of the province of Hainaut 1878 and mayor of Hingene 1878 1903 . He was Governor of Hainaut during the strikes of 1886. Impressed by these events, he became like his brother in law Albert de Mun, more aware of social issues. He wrote a pamphlet in 1895 basing his ideas of Pierre Guillaume Fr d ric le Play Frederic Le Play . When he reached the required age, he entered the Belgian Senate. He was the president of the Senate when he died prematurely.
