The Sandinistas revolutionary mythology and aspirations were glorified in the preamble, and the Nicaraguan Army was constitutionally named the Sandinista People s Army . Yet, even though drafted and approved by a Sandinista dominated assembly, the constitution was not a revolutionary document.
