The movement was most active in Swedish speaking Ostrobothnia region Ostrobothnia , but it attracted people also in the south of Finland. The leader of the movement was the young girl Maria kerblom from the village of Snappertuna in Uusimaa . The sect has its roots in Snappertuna in 1917, when it is said that twelve year old Maria kerblom received prophesy prophesies from God . kerblom was struck by sickness and as she fell asleep, she started to preach. Later, though, the members of the movement were accused of several different crimes, for instance shooting a policeman, stealing and physical violence. The movement grew larger in the early 1920s, in spite of all the accusations made against it. The leaders of the movement decided that all the members should sell all their belongings and give it to the sect. The movement s aim was to move to the holy land of Israel. The kerblom Movement did not make it that far, though. In the 1920s it fell apart because of all the accusations and trials it went through. 1. Movement paradox

A movement paradox is a grammar grammatical phenomenon which, particularly according to proponents of lexical functional grammar , presents some problems for a transformational grammar transformational approach to syntax . Take the following example sentences We talked about the fact that he was sick for days. The fact that he was sick, we talked about for days. These two sentences are related by movement in a transformational analysis in the second sentence, the phrase the fact that he was sick has been moved to the front of the sentence for emphasis. However, there are pairs of sentences like this in which the sentence without movement is ungrammatical while the sentence with movement is not We talked about that he was sick for days. That he was sick, we talked about for days. This may be difficult to explain in an analysis based on movement, since it is not obvious how the second sentence can be grammatical if it is derived from a movement operation applying to an ungrammatical structure, i.e. a structure like that of the first sentence. Lexical functional grammar avoids these difficulties to some extent because it does not have a movement operation. See also List of paradoxes References Bresnan, Joan. 2001. 1. Fairazi movement

Unreferenced date December 2009 Orphan date December 2009 Fairazi movement was a movement in Bangladesh in the 18th century started by the Islam ic reformer, Haji Shariatullah . He started this movement among the most depressed section of the Islam Muslim society the farmers and the artisan s. He called upon the people to discard un Islamic practices and customs, and to act upon the commandments of faith, the Faraiz , or duties. He requested them to observe strictly the principles of faith and rules of Shariah , and to refrain from Hindu practices. This movement was mainly religious and social in character. The growing popularity of the movement amongst the people of Bengal alarmed the Hindu landlords who harassed Haji Shariatullah. After the death of Haji Shariatullah in 1840, his son, Muhammad Mohsin, popularly known as Dadhu Mian , organized the movement and carried on the work of his father. Haji Shariatullah was born in Banderlakola, Faridpur district, in 1781. He was the son of an ordinary farmer. After getting his early education from his village, he went to Arabia to perform Hajj at an early age of 18 years. He stayed there from 1799 to 1818 and got his religious education. He learnt Arabic and Persian from his teacher, Maulana Basharat. During his stay in Arabia he came into close contact with Wahabism started by Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab. 1. Area movement

Unreferenced date December 2009 Area movement is a game mechanic used in a board game . While most parlor games and the like have areas of the board to move in, the term is used particularly in wargaming for those boards that represent a geographical area, but do not use a regular hex map grid usually of hexes or squares . Area movement is a common feature in lighter wargames and some mass market games, such as Axis and Allies , War at Sea and Risk game Risk . Area movement breaks the terrain represented into regions or areas, which are usually assumed to be completely controlled by one side. As such, they may only be an abstract administrative region, but often have borders conforming to natural obstacles such as mountain ranges or rivers. Movement is generally regulated by the number of areas a unit may move at one time, and the fact that movement can only occur through connected adjacent areas. A variation of this mechanic is point to point movement. In some cases this is just area movement with a central point and the legal paths defined, instead of defining the region, as in Napoleon game Napoleon . In others it is actually used where the means of movement is important as in A House Divided board game A House Divided . The first more serious simulation game to feature this type of movement was Storm Over Arnhem released in 1981 in games 1981 by Avalon Hill . Games directly copying this system included Thunder at Cassino and Turning Point Stalingrad , both also published by Avalon Hill. A more recent example is Monty s Gamble Market Garden released in 2003 by Multi Man Publishing . 1. Cambridge Movement

nofootnotes date September 2010 The Cambridge Movement was a Conservatism conservative ideological school of thought closely related to the Oxford Movement . History It has been claimed the origins of the movement emanate from the teachings of the University of Cambridge Cambridge University professor and intellectual Desiderius Erasmus . However, the more readily understood beliefs of the movement began in 1833 with a sermon made by the Reverend John Keble which was hostile toward a plan by the British Government to diminish the official power of the Anglican Church in the predominantly Roman Catholic Ireland . It had been argued that it was unjust that Irish catholic taxes should not support the Anglican Church. Keble and his supporters believed that Christianity in the form of the established Church of England was above secular government. Within days of this sermon being preached a meeting was held at the home of Hugh James Rose . It is Rose who is generally held to be the founder of the Cambridge school of the Oxford movement while John Henry Newman John Newman was the leader of the Oxford movement.
