Both the EPCC and the WPCC are separate entities functioning as athletic conferences, both with long standing success and local notoriety. Both the EPCC and the WPCC still govern themselves and function separately from each other however the EPCC champion and the WPCC champion face each other in a special post season match to crown a PCAA champion each season within each sport. The NationalCollegiate Wrestling Association NCWA is a post secondary athleticassociation built to help the promotion of collegiate wrestling . The organization is composed of wrestling teams and clubs from across the United States and Canada many of these were formerly NCAA scholarship programs which were affected by Title IX legislation, which has resulted in many colleges being forced to give up their wrestling programs in the name of gender equity. The variety of institutions competing in the NCWA is wide and unrestricted as junior colleges, trade schools and post secondary prep institutions which compete in the same national championship as four year colleges and universities. The NCWA is divided into seven regional conferences and two divisions. Division I teams are funded by the university and many give athletic scholarships, Division II teams are clubs and may operate on campuses where there are established NCAA DI Teams. The NPSAA exist to bring exposure and credibility to private schools across the nation. The NPSAA accomplishes this with tournament s, national ranking s, radio programs, internet television station, player coaching awards and recruiting services. National Rankings The NPSAA currently assembles the only national sports rankings dedicated solely to private school athletic programs. The NPSAA follows thousands of private schools over the course of the academic year and provides national rankings for ten different sports in several different divisions. These divisions are divided by school size, not talent levels, and are voted upon by the NPSAA selection committee. The NPSAA selection committee releases weekly rankings for various sports and then has a final ballot which decides the National Champions for that season. Each voter provides his own ranking of the top 25 teams, and the individual rankings are then combined to produce the national ranking by giving a team 30 points for a first place vote, 24 for a second place vote, and so on down to 1 point for a twenty fifth place vote. Tournaments In 2009, the NPSAA added national and regional tournaments as part of their association. The NPSAA currently holds tournaments for volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and golf.
