The NationalPolicyForum NPF of the United Kingdom British Labour Party UK Labour Party is part of the policy making system of the Party, set up by Leader Tony Blair as part of the Partnership in Power process. The NPF is made up of 184 members representing government, Europe an and devolved assemblies, local government, affiliated trade union s, socialist society Labour Party socialist societies and others, and individual members of the Labour Party, who elect representatives through their Constituency Labour Party . The body is responsible for overseeing policy development. It meets two or three weekends a year to discuss in detail documents produced by the policy commissions, of which there are six, jointly set up by the NPF, the Party s National Executive Committee and the Government. It submits three types of documents to Labour Party Conference pre decision consultative, final policy documents and an annual report on the work of the policy commissions. There are also policy forums set up for the English regions and for Scotland and Wales , feeding into the NationalPolicyForum and discussing more local matters. The Joint Policy Committee acts as a steering group for the NationalPolicyForum. The International PolicyForum IPF is a fully student run think tank based at Carleton University in Ottawa , Canada . Emerging from the realization that there was an absence of student perspective in pressing policy issues, participants in the IPF strive to add their voice to public debate. Each year, approximately sixteen students are chosen to develop policy recommendations for a global issue pertinent to Canada. Image NMSForumlogo.png right The National Middle Schools Forum NMSF is a national education association dedicated exclusively to the promotion and support of List of middle schools in England Middle schools in England . The organisation was first formed in 1991 as the Inter Lea Middle Schools Forum. The initial organisation was in part due to the recent Audit Commission response which proposed a rationalisation of primary education to remove Middle Schools. This process had started during the early 1980s and has continued throughout the 1990s and 2000s decade 2000s . Much of the support aspect of the forum continues to focus on Local Education Authorities where proposals are under consideration for the removal of three tier education systems. It is the current aim of the forum to provide a focal point for networking and discussion among the remaining Middle Schools in England . It is recognised as a partner in work with government agencies, including the Department for Children, Schools and Families and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority . The forum holds a national conference for members, as well as sending delegates to international events, including the European League for Middle Level Education.
