Georgia Navigator sometimes also as Georgia NaviGAtor is an Advanced Traffic Management System used in the U.S. state of Georgia U.S. state Georgia . It is operated by the Georgia Department of Transportation GDOT , and was first activated in April 1996, just before the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta . Most of the system is installed in metro Atlanta , where at least half of the state s population lives. They were designed to be an affordable cruiser that had good stable sailing capability, good interior head room and would sleep four people in relative comfort for weekend cruising. Newbridge Navigator owners soon got to love their new boats and formed the first owners association.
