Other uses See also Oligochaeta Unreferenced date October 2007 Nightcrawlers are a form of earthworm prized primarily for use as fishing bait . Nightcrawlers are generally known as either Canadian or European . Canadian nightcrawlers are the larger of the two, measuring up to 14 inches 35.6  cm when fully extended. Fishermen enjoy the Canadian worm more because of its size. It can be easily secured to a fish hook , and stays lively while submerged in water for up to 5 minutes. The Canadian nightcrawler is used for catching largemouth bass , smallmouth bass , carp , trout , catfish , Lepomis sunfish , walleye , and other freshwater fish. The Canadian nightcrawler will not survive in temperatures above about 65 F 18.3 C . Therefore, bait shops must keep them refrigerated and attention must be given to ensure that the worms are not left to rest in the hot sun while fishing . Harvesting Canadian nightcrawlers are harvested in certain locations in North America. Most come from Canada s Ontario region, while many millions more are harvested along the Appalachian Mountains from western North Carolina up to New York. The worms are collected at night by headlamp wearing hunters, as the worms come out from the ground only in cold, dark and damp conditions, such as when the ground is deeply saturated following a decent rain fall. In popular culture Nightcrawlers is an imagination based game played by the characters Charlie and Frank on the television program It s Always Sunny in Philadelphia . While the specific rules have never been explained in detail, it is suggested that the goal is to crawl around on the ground at night like worms. Charlie s rival, Schmitty, suggested that the game be enhanced by using blankets as dirt or force fields. Frank is excited about the idea but Charlie disagrees because it would defeat the purpose of the game. In Fargo film Fargo nightcrawlers are given to Norm Gunderson by his wife Marge. 1. The Nightcrawlers

for the Scottish house music group Nightcrawlers band The Nightcrawlers were a regional Daytona Beach, Florida band with a hit single, The Little Black Egg , recorded in 1965. The single ultimately reached 85 on the national charts after its third re release in 1967. The group had three other singles Cry , A Basket of Flowers and I Don t Remember . The five original members were Pete Thomason, Sylvan Wells, Robbie Rouse, Chuck Conlon and Tommy Ruger. Their sound is best described as sparse folk rock, popularized by The Byrds , The Beau Brummels , etc. They did one LP album for Kapp Records , but the original lineup disbanded in 1966, before the final and most popular release of The Little Black Egg . The reformed Nightcrawlers did one more single for Kapp, My Butterfly written by band members Sylvan Wells and Rick Hollinger, in a more hard rock vein and then disbanded. The original main songwriter, Charlie Conlon, later reformed the group under the name Conlon and the Crawlers , although the group never recorded again after 1967. The group continued with different members and eventually disbanded in 1970. Although the group never gained wide fame, the simple hook of The Little Black Egg destined it to become a favorite cover for the garage bands of each musical era since the 60s. In 2000, a retrospective CD with 24 cuts was released by Big Beat London, England. On September 19, 2008, the world premier of the film Cracking The Egg The Untold Story of The NightCrawlers was held at the 6th annual Daytona Beach Film Festival. for the 1960s US band The Nightcrawlers Nightcrawlers is a house music project, assembled by Scotland Scottish Record producer producer , disc jockey DJ and singing vocalist John Reid born 6 September 1963 from Easterhouse in Glasgow , Scotland . Beginnings 1992 1996 In 1992, nightcrawlers formed the act following his local success as a DJ and vocalist. He quickly released the debut single Living Inside A Dream , which failed to reach any commercial success. Reid then decided to release a second single, Push the Feeling On , which fared much better, becoming an overnight success, peaking at 7 on the United States U.S. Hot Dance Club Play record chart chart , and briefly crossing over to pop music pop radio, peaking at 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 , spending fifteen weeks on the chart. Push The Feeling On was then remixed by Mark Kinchen , an American record producer, who totally reinvented the track. His version, entitled The Dub Of Doom Mix , first became known in 1993, and as such, it became heavily played on the underground scene for two years in the UK, eventually reaching 22 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1994 when it commercially released. 1. Twilight Zone literature

Refimprove date December 2009 Twilight Zone literature is an umbrella term for the many books and comic books which concern or adapt The Twilight Zone television series . Novels Numerous novelizations were published based upon episodes of Twilight Zone, as were several volumes of original short stories published under the Twilight Zone brand and edited by Rod Serling himself. An example is Twilight Zone 19 Original Stories on the 50th Anniversary , though it was edited by Serling s widow Carol Serling. Comics Gold Key Comics published a long running Twilight Zone comic that featured the likeness of Serling introducing both original stories and occasional adaptations of episodes. The comic outlived the television series by nearly 20 years and Serling by nearly a decade. A later revival of Twilight Zone comics was published by Now Comics , spinning off of the 1980s revival of the show.
