OrganicUnity is the idea that a thing is made up of interdependent parts. For example, a body is made up of its constituent organs, or a society is made up of its constituent social roles. In literature , Organicunity is a concept founded by the philosopher, Plato . The structure in itself, started to take rudimentary form through certain works by Plato including The Republic , Phaedrus dialogue Phaedrus and Gorgias . Organicunity lacked a true definitive role or theme in literary history until the principle was adopted by Aristotle . Aristotle s writings all maintained respective, metaphoric reflections of organicunity. In Aristotle s Poetics , organicunity is described by how writing relies internally on narration and drama to remain cohesive to one another, not separate entities. Without balance on both sides, the whole concept suffers. The main theme of organicunity relies on a free spirited style of writing and by following any guidelines or genre based habits, the true nature of a work becomes stifled and unreliable on an artistic plane. ref Encyclop dia Britannica ref The concept of organicunity gained popularity through the New Criticism New Critics movement. Cleanth Brooks played an integral role in modernizing the organicunity principle. In a study based around the poem, The Well Wrought Urn , Brooks relayed the importance of a work s ability to flow and maintain a theme so that the work can only gain momentum, from beginning to end. Organicunity is the common thread keeps a theme from becoming broken and disjointed as a work moves forward. ref Brooks ref See also Organicism Unity of opposites References references philosophy stub literature stub Category Literary concepts ... more details

UNITY is the theoretical political journal of Socialist Worker Aotearoa , published quarterly in Auckland, New Zealand, since December 2005. It is edited by Daphne Lawless, and each issue focuses on a central theme of interest to the socialist and radical left movement. The first edition of Unity, published in December 2005, explored the issue of Left regroupment both in New Zealand and internationally. The second edition March 2006 looked at the history of the Labour Party, contending that traditional Social Democracy had now morphed into Social Liberalism . The third edition published in June 2006 looked at radical union movements and was entitled Strike The Workers Weapon , investigating key flashpoints between the labour movement and capital in New Zealand in 1913, 1951 and more recent times. A fourth copy September 2006 developed a positive analysis of the Venezuelan Revolution , contending that Latin America was now a continent in revolt, leading the way to a Socialism of the 21st Century. The fifth edition, published in December 2006, explored the possible impact of Climate Change on the world, its central thesis arguing that capitalism itself was the motor of Global Warming. The sixth edition, entitled Cracks in the Empire May 2007 , examined Anti Imperialism in the Middle East, Latin America and elsewhere. UNITY has a print run of just over 1000 each edition, and is widely read on the NZ Left. Notable left wing and socialist contributors to it include John Minto , Chris Trotter , George Monbiot , Dean Parker , John Molyneux , Alex Callinicos , John Bellamy Foster , Sue Bradford , as well as Marxist writers from groups such as Socialist Worker, the Democratic Socialist Perspective and the International Socialist Tendency . It can found as a clean version on 20th Century Masters The Millennium Collection The Best of Queen Latifah & Hip Hop Gold . The song won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance . It was a concept advanced in the Theses of Lyons 1926 in the context of the Third International The communist parties must achieve an organic centralism which, whilst including maximum possible consultation with the base, ensures a spontaneous elimination of any grouping which aims to differentiate itself. It is further argued that bourgeois tendencies are not manifested in fractionalism, but as a shrewd penetration stoking up unitary demagoguery and operating as a dictatorship from above . The concept was put forward as against Bolsheviks bolshevisation . One negative effect of so called bolshevisation has been the replacing of conscious and thoroughgoing political elaboration inside the party, corresponding to significant progress towards a really compact centralism, with superficial and noisy agitation for mechanical formulas of unity for unity s sake, and discipline for discipline s sake.
