  1. Self-parenting

Refimprove date December 2009 Orphan date October 2006 att April 2011 The idea of Self parenting is that a person s mind is created in the form of a conversation between two voices generated by the two parts of the cerebral hemisphere . One is the Inner Parent represented by the Left brain Left Brain with the other voice being the Inner Child represented by the Right brain Right Brain . The manner and quality by which these inner conversations take place between the two voices is most accurately described as Self Parenting. The Inner Parent is parenting the Inner Child within the inner conversations . Another way of seeing Self parenting through a different perspective is first off knowing that usually some individuals are not strong when it comes to dealing with problems with their inner self, they usually need a mentor with positive feedback, there to guide them with certain strategies and most of all to overcome obstacles. Most of the time when they are in need to dealing with the forces of reality, may place too much pressure on certain people. ref cite web author Name url http selfparenting.com booksmodulesconsultations middle page support groups title Self Parenting Support Groups & 124 Welcome to the Official SELF PARENTING Program Website publisher Selfparenting.com date accessdate 2012 02 16 ref The individual quality of a person s self parenting style is said to closely resemble the specific style of parenting he or she received growing up as child. 1. Parenting time

Parenting time is the amount of time each parent spends with their children when parents separate. Disagreements about how to measure it and how to divide it often cause controversy between the parents. United Kingdom For child maintenance purposes, for example, the Child Support Agency and their successor, the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission CMEC define parenting time in terms of the number of nights that the children stay with each parent . Thus the primary carer receives a reduced child maintenance calculation if the secondary carer has more than 52 nights year contact with his children . This could be considered as unfair to those secondary carers who provide significant day time care of the children but are unable to provide overnight accommodation owing to the unsuitability of their property. Fathers rights movement argue that this indirectly discriminates against fathers, as they are more likely to have moved out of the former matrimonial home and less able to obtain social housing suitable for the children to stay. This is part of the winner takes all benefits situation and arguably not in the children s best interests. A fairer measure of parenting time is all non school time when the child is awake, since once the child is asleep, it is impossible to parent the child. In court hearings concerning dividing up the children s time with the parents, it is submitted that calculating and dividing this figure would produce a fairer result than including time when the children are asleep. 1. Re-parenting window manager

A re parenting window manager is an X Window System window manager that adopts all other windows. In the X Window System , every window has a parent window, which may be either the root window or another window. Windows that are children of the root window are called top level windows . When a top level window is created, a re parenting window manager changes its parent to be a new window created on purpose. This allows the window manager to decorate the windows with window decoration s and title bar s as well as allows advanced control over the windows operation required, for example, by virtual window manager s. Technically, a reparenting window manager registers with the X server to be notified when a top level window is mapped attempts to become visible . When such an Event driven programming event is generated, the window manager creates a frame window , and in most cases also a title bar window. The frame window then becomes the parent of both the main window and the title bar window. Other forms of decoration, such as buttons, window title, etc., may also be created these would normally be parented by the title bar window. ref http static.cray cyber.org Documentation NEC SX R10 1 G1AH04E G1AE02E CHAP10.HTML Xlib Programming Manual Chapter 10 Bot generated title ref Virtually all modern window managers are re parenting, although earlier window managers, such as the Ultrix Window Manager uwm window manager, were not. The traditional and often used assumption is that children need both a mother and a father, which plays an important role in divorce and custodial proceedings, and has carried over into adoption and fertility procedures, even though those assertions find no support in the scientific research literature. ref name amici cite web url http www.courtinfo.ca.gov courts supreme highprofile documents Amer Psychological Assn Amicus Curiae Brief.pdf title Microsoft Word APA California Amicus Brief As Filed.DOC format PDF date accessdate 20 January 2011 ref ref Canadian Psychological Association http www.cpa.ca cpasite userfiles Documents advocacy brief.pdf Brief presented to the Legislative House of Commons Committee on Bill C38 By the Canadian Psychological Association 2 June 2005. ref ref name apsp ref name djc2006 cite web url http www.samesexmarriage.ca docs Justice Child Development.pdf title Children s Development of Social Competence Across Family Types format PDF date accessdate 20 January 2011 ref ref name lamb Michael Lamb, PhD http www.glad.org uploads docs cases 2009 11 17 doma aff lamb.pdf Affidavit United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts 2009 ref Overview As laws within the whole of Australia since 1 July 2009 ... have rights with respect to conceiving, adopting, and LGBT parenting rearing children.
