Unreferenced date December 2009 Orphan date November 2006 This is an indirect outgrowth of Marxist thinking which is a subgroup of development economics . According to this doctrine, third world underdevelopment is viewed as the result of highly unequal international capitalist system or rich country poor country relationships. It is viewed that the rich countries through their intentionally exploitative or unintentionally neglectful policies hurt the developing countries. The rich countries and a small elite ruling class in the developing countries , who serve as the agent of the rich countries, are responsible for the perpetuation of underdevelopment in the developing countries. Unlike the Stage Theories or the Structural Change Models, which considered underdevelopment as a result of internal constraints such as insufficient savings, investment or lack of infrastructure, skill or education, the proponents of the Neocolonial Dependence model saw underdevelopment as an externally induced phenomenon. The remedy, according to those who preached these ideas, was to initiate revolutionary struggles to topple the existing elite of the developing countries and the restructuring of the world capitalist system to free the third world nations from the direct and indirect control of their first world and domestic oppressors. Resource dependence theory RDT is the study of how the external resources of organizations affects the behavior of the organization. The procurement of external resources is an important tenet of both the strategic and tactical management of any company. Nevertheless, a theory of the consequences of this importance was not formalized until the 1970s, with the publication of The External Control of Organizations A Resource Dependence Perspective Pfeffer and Salancik 1978 . Resource dependence theory has implications regarding the optimal divisional structure of organizations, recruitment of board members and employees, production strategies, contract structure, external organizational links, and many other aspects of organizational strategy. The basic argument of resource dependence theory can be summarized as follows Organizations depend on resources. These resources ultimately originate from an organization s environment. The environment, to a considerable extent, contains other organizations. The resources one organization needs are thus often in the hand of other organizations. Resources are a basis of power. Legally independent organizations can therefore depend on each other. Power and resource dependence are directly linked Organization A s power over organization B is equal to organization B s dependence on organization A s resources. Power is thus relational, situational and potentially mutual. Organizations depend on multidimensional resources labor, capital, raw material ... it may associate with more suppliers, or integrate vertically or horizontally. Resource dependence .... The temperature dependence of liquid viscosity is the phenomenon by which liquid viscosity tends to decrease or, alternatively, its fluidity tends to increase as its temperature increases. This can be observed, for example, by watching how cooking oil appears to move more fluidly upon a frying pan after being heated by a stove. It is usually expressed by one of the following models Exponential model math mu T , , mu 0 exp bT math where T is temperature and math mu 0 math and math b math are coefficients. See first order fluid and second order fluid . This is an empirical model that usually works for a limited range of temperatures. Arrhenius model The model is based on the assumption that the fluid flow obeys the Arrhenius equation for molecular kinetics math mu T , , mu 0 exp left frac E RT right math where T is temperature, math mu 0 math is a coefficient, E is the activation energy and R is the universal gas constant .
