unreferenced date November 2010 Patriarchs is a solitaire card game which is played with two decks of playing card s. It is similar in reserve layout to Odd and Even but with different game play. First, one king and one ace are removed from the deck and placed in two columns one with all aces and the other with all kings. In between these two columns is a space for the reserve, which is composed of nine cards arranged in three rows of three cards each. Ace and King columns are the foundations. The ace foundations are built up to Kings while the king foundations are built down to aces, all by suit. When the top cards of the ace and king foundations of the same suit are in sequence, a reversal can be done, i.e. cards can be moved one at a time from one foundation to the other, except the base aces and kings. The nine reserve cards are available for play on the foundations not on each other . When a card leaves the reserve, the space it leaves behind is filled with the top card of the waste pile or the stock if there is no waste pile yet . If play comes to a standstill in the reserve, the stock is dealt one card at a time, and if a card is unplayable, it is placed on the waste pile, the top card of which is available for building on the foundations or filling a space on the reserve. Only one redeal is allowed to do this the unused cards in the waste pile is picked up and turned face down to be used as the new stock. The game is won when all cards end up in the foundations. Orphan date February 2009 American World Patriarchs is a Christian religious organization established in 1967. The group was founded by Uladyslau Ryzy Ryski , a priest from Belarus who had been consecrated as bishop of Laconia, New Hampshire and the states of New England by the American Orthodox Catholic Church . He was later raised to the position of archbishop by the Old Orthodox Catholic Patriarchate of America . It was largely through Ryzy Ryski s elevations of other independent bishops to the level of patriarch that the new organization was formed. Ryzy Ryski did not require that any of the individuals he elevated to the patriarchate recognize his authority or jurisdiction over any of them. He began to create new archbishop patriarchs for each national and ethnic group, at the same time creating a church hierarchy of international scope. After his excommunication from the American Orthodox Catholic Church, Ryzy Ryski worked harder to develop his new group, and established patriarchates for Canada , Hungary , West Germany , Puerto Rico , Colombia , Haiti , Santo Domingo , Brazil , Peru , Argentina , El Salvador , Nigeria , the West Indies , Norway , Sweden , Formosa , and Ukraine . He went on to create the Peoples University of the Americas in conjunction with the AWP. In addition to the religious training it offers, the University offers a variety of courses in the humanities in New York for ethnic and immigrant groups, with particular emphasis on English language learning and teaching English as a second language . On his death in 1978, Ryzy Ryski was succeeded by his brother, Archbishop Emigidius J. Ryzy , as the Apostolic Administrator of All American World Patriarchs. Ryzy is assisted by Archbishop Adam Bilecky, Patriarch II of the American World Patriarchate, Archbishop Peter A. Zurawetsky , Archbishop Frank Barquera, and Bishop Piotr Huszcza. The Encyclical of the Eastern Patriarchs was a encyclical letter sent in May, 1848 by the patriarch s of the Eastern Orthodoxy Orthodox Church in reply to Pope Pius IX s Epistle to the Easterns 1848 . Rather than being a private letter to Pius IX, it is addressed to All the Bishops Everywhere, Beloved in the Holy Spirit Holy Ghost , Our Venerable, Most Dear Brethren and to their Most Pious Clergy and to All the Genuine Orthodox Sons of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church . The encyclical explicitly denounces the Filioque clause added by Rome to the Nicene Creed as a heresy, censures the papacy for missionizing among Eastern Orthodox Christians, and repudiates Ultramontanism papal supremacy . It also describes the Roman Catholic Church as being in apostasy , heresy , and Schism religion schism . In the course of all this, it notably makes reference to the Fourth Council of Constantinople Eighth Ecumenical Council 879 880 , in contrast with the opinion of many modern Eastern Orthodox Christians that there are only seven Ecumenical Councils accepted by the Orthodox Church.
