Susie Tallman is a singer and recording artist known for recording children s music. Tallman graduated UCLA with a B.A. in voice performance. Tallman then spent several years in Europe, singing with a number of choirs in Paris. She returned to the US several years later, training at the New England Conservatory Workshop in Boston. Before founding her children s music record label, Rock Me Baby Records, Tallman sang backup for a number of other artists, including Cheap Trick and Ronnie Spector . He served in the American Revolution Revolutionary War on the privateer Trumbull, and lost an arm in an engagement in 1780. He was captured and imprisoned by the British. After the War, he engaged in mercantile pursuits in Bath, Maine until 1820 a district of Massachusetts . He was elected as a Democratic Republican Party United States Democratic Republican to the 12th United States Congress Twelfth Congress March 4, 1811 March 3, 1813 . He declined to be a candidate for renomination, and became an overseer of Bowdoin College 1802 1840. Tallman served as a member of the Maine State Senate , and died in Bath on March 12, 1840. Tallman is a hamlet in the Ramapo, New York Town of Ramapo in Rockland County, New York , United States , located north of the state of New Jersey east of Suffern, New York Suffern south of Montebello, New York Montebello and west of Airmont, New York Airmont . It is located north northwest of New York City . History In 1667 The Duke of York sent three lords to rule over Pennsylvania, one of the Lords was named Lord Phillip Tallman. He later renounced his Lordship, when he married a commoner and settled the town of Tallman, NY. Tallman was named after Tunis Tallman, a direct descendant of Rockland s oldest family, who opened a store in 1838. Henry Tallman was Ramapo s Town supervisor and many consired him to be Tallman s founding father. The John A. The Tallman house had five family members and two servants, which were brother and sister. The house has 20 rooms and is convert 60 ft m tall. Citation needed date December 2009 William Tallman was a lawyer working out east when he bought convert 4476 acre km2 of Wisconsin Territory in the late 1840s and moved his family to Janesville,Wisconsin to keep closer watch of his holdings. Construction of the home at 305 Madison St. began in 1855 on a convert 3 acre m2 adj on bluff overlooking the Rock River on what was then the north edge of Janesville. High quality materials included Milwaukee Cream City Brick, cast iron on the windows and black walnut doors with hand carved panels. The original cost was 33,000 in gold. Additional work finished in 1870 brought the total to 42,000. The Tallman House roof outlasted even that on Monticello, one of the architects told Madge Murphy, executive director of the historical society. The terne, or tin plated metal roof is an incredible example of mid 19th century building technology, according to the report.
