He was born at Mosman, New South Wales Mosman, Sydney , and died in Honolulu . Taylor attended The Armidale School in northern New South Wales . At the beginning of the World War I First World War he applied to join the Australian Flying Corps but was rejected. He subsequently went to United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Britain and was commissioned into the Royal Flying Corps in 1916, joining No. 66 Squadron. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1917 and promoted to Captain, also serving with Nos. 94 and 88 Squadrons. Following the war he returned to Australia and embarked on a career in civil aviation , working as a private pilot and for de Havilland de Havilland Aircraft Company in the 1920s. He flew as a captain with Australian National Airways 1930 Australian National Airways 1930 1931. He also completed an engineering course and studied aerial navigation. ST Gordon born April 18, 1959 in Pasco, WA was an United States American professional boxer who won the World Boxing Council Cruiserweight boxing cruiserweight title in 1982. Professional career Gordon became a professional boxer in 1977. He faced undefeated heavyweight prospect Gerry Cooney in 1978 but lost via a fourth round disqualification. In 1981 he beat aging contender Yaqui Lopez for the North American Boxing Federation cruiserweight title. The next year he won the WBC cruiserweight title with a technical knockout victory over Carlos De Le n . He defended the belt once and also won a heavyweight bout against future titlist Trevor Berbick before losing his cruiserweight title in 1983 in a rematch with De Leon.
