  1. Hyperbolic link

In mathematics , a hyperbolic link is a link knot theory link in the 3 sphere with knot complement complement that has a complete Riemannian metric of constant negative curvature , i.e. has a hyperbolic geometry . A hyperbolic knot is a hyperbolic link with one connected space component . As a consequence of the work of William Thurston , it is known that every knot is precisely one of the following hyperbolic, a torus knot , or a satellite knot . As a consequence, hyperbolic knots can be considered plentiful. A similar heuristic applies to hyperbolic links. As a consequence of Thurston s hyperbolic Dehn surgery theorem, performing Dehn surgery Dehn surgeries on a hyperbolic link enables one to obtain many more hyperbolic 3 manifold s. Examples File BorromeanRings.svg thumb Borromean rings are a hyperbolic link. Borromean rings are hyperbolic. 1. 2-bridge knot

In the mathematical field of knot theory , a 2 bridge knot is a knot mathematics knot which can be isotopy isotoped so that the natural height function given by the z coordinate has only two maxima and two minima as critical points. Other names for 2 bridge knots are rational knots , 4 plats , and Viergeflechte . 2 bridge links are defined similarly as above, but each component will have one min and max. 2 bridge knots were classified by Herbert Seifert , using the fact that the 2 sheeted branched cover of the 3 sphere over the knot is a lens space . The names rational knot and rational link were coined by John Horton Conway John Conway who defined them as arising from numerator closures of rational tangle s. 1. Working paper

noreferences date April 2010 A working paper or work paper or workpaper may refer to A preliminary scientific or technical paper. Often, authors will release working papers to share ideas about a topic or to elicit feedback before submitting to a peer review ed academic conference conference or academic journal . Working papers are often the basis for related works, and may in themselves be cited by peer review papers. Sometimes the term working paper is used synonymously as technical report . Working papers are typically hosted on websites, belonging either to the author or the author s affiliated institution. The United Nations uses the term working paper in approximately this sense for the draft of a United Nations resolution resolution . Documents required for a minor to get a Employment job in certain states within the United States . Such papers usually require the employer, parent Legal guardian guardian , school , and a physician to agree to the terms of work laid out by the employer. Documents required on an audit of a company s financial statements . The working papers are the property of the accounting firm conducting the audit. These papers are formally referred to as Audit Documentation or sometimes as the audit file. 1. Echo state network

The echo state network ESN is a recurrent neural network with a sparsely connected hidden layer with typically 1 connectivity . The connectivity and weights of hidden neurons are randomly assigned and are fixed. The weights of output neurons can be learned so that the network can re produce specific temporal patterns. The main interest of this network is that although its behaviour is non linear, the only parameters are the weights of the output layer. The error function is thus quadratic with respect to the parameter vector and can be differentiated easily to a linear system. 1. QCD sum rules

Noref date August 2010 In quantum chromodynamics , the color confinement confining and strong coupling nature of the theory means that conventional perturbative techniques often fail to apply. The QCD sum rules or Mikhail Shifman Shifman Arkady Vainshtein Vainshtein Valentine Zakharov Zakharov Zakharov sum rules are a way of dealing with this. The idea is to work with gauge invariant operators and operator product expansion s of them. 1. Social Science Open Access Repository

The Social Science Open Access Repository SSOAR is a database specialising in scholarly articles from the social sciences which is freely accessible on the Internet. SSOAR is a full text server, and Internet users can access full text versions of documents free of charge and without prior registration. The Repository publishing repository follows the so called Green Road , a strategy for the implementation of Open access publishing Open Access whereby preprint preprints or postprint postprints of scholarly contributions are archived in an openly accessible repository in addition to being published in toll access journals etc. Because the project is coordinated by an editorial team and is supported by an advisory board made up of members of scholarly societies, the quality of the contributions is assured. Moreover, SSOAR offers authors the opportunity to self archive their texts, to make them freely accessible and, by so doing, to increase the visibility and reach of their work. The project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft German Research Foundation DFG .
