Details The cemetery was established in 1792 and is located in the Wola district. The cemetery bore witness to many historical events fighting on its premises took place during the Ko ciuszko Uprising of 1794, the November Uprising 1830 1831 and the Warsaw Uprising 1944 . The fence, the monuments and the architecture of the cemetery were all destroyed during the last of the afore mentioned events, and were rebuilt in the second half of the 20th century. Despite the historical turmoil, many monuments of great artistic value have somehow managed to survive and still stand today one of them being the Kronenberg Chapel, which is included in the National Historical Monument Register. It is located in Penetanguishene on the corner of Peel and Burke Street. The original two story, red brick building was built in 1882 for a cost of 3500. A two story addition was added in 1909 1910. The building was torn down in June 1965 to make way for the current Burkevale Protestant Separate School. The current school has a population of 253 students in classes from kindergarten to grade 8 and a staff of 27 2007 . The school s mascot is a bulldog and its motto is Striving for Excellence .
