Raudsild iron bridge was a footbridge across Emaj gi in Tartu , Estonia , which was opened on 3 June 1993, and dismantled again in 2007. The pedestrian bridge had a minor design flaw, which made it gyrate noticeably at even minor impacts, like a normal sized person jumping or running across it. The bridge was taken apart in 2007 to be replaced by Vabaduse bridge Tartu Vabaduse bridge , a 3 lane traffic bridge opened in the summer of 2009. The bridge will eventually be moved upstream and re assembled for pedestrian traffic. As of spring 2011, no action has been taken in this regards. Most of its residents are students of the University of Toronto . Tartu College was built in 1970, two years after its sister building, the David A. Croll Apartments originally Rochdale College , was built in 1968 across the street. The University of Tartu Botanical Gardens lang et Tartu likooli Botaanikaaed , is a botanical garden in Tartu , Estonia . It belongs to the University of Tartu . The Garden was established in 1803. Originally, it was located at Vanemuise street near what is now the Vanemuine Small Theatre House. In 1806, the garden was relocated to a more suitable site, on a former bastion at Lai street on the northern side of the old town.
