The Company of student actors gathered in the summer semester of 2006 for the first time. The initiative to start such a drama group came from one lecturer, who came to the university in 2006. He had been doing theater in Mannheim for quite a while before he came to Kassel and wanted to establish that tradition in Kassel as well. Ever since, he has been directing all productions of the Company. The first season started in the winter semester 2006 2007 and the company produced Confusions by Alan Ayckbourn . br The Company chose Mother Figure, Drinking Companions and Between Mouthfuls to entertain the audience. The second production in the summer 2007 was a revue of 22 plays in 88 minutes under the title Red Brick Company Goes Black.
