Boylan attended the University of Ulster and the University of Edinburgh . His novel Killoyle was published in 1997 by Dalkey Archive Press . In 2003, a sequel, The Great Pint Pulling Olympiad , was published by Grove Press . Both novels were translated into German by the award winning German translator and author Harry Rowohlt . The third volume in the Killoyle trilogy, The Maladjusted Terrorist , was published in German in 2007, and the entire Killoyle trilogy was reissued as a boxed set that year by the Swiss publisher Kein und Aber . Boylan s latest novel, The Adorations , deals with historical and religious themes and was scheduled to be published in 2009 in German translation, but the publisher postponed publication indefinitely, citing unfavorable economic circumstances. The novel will be appearing elsewhere. Marianne Josephine Zoff 30 June 1893 in Hainfeld 22 November 1984 in Vienna was an Austrian actress and opera singer. Zoff was the first wife of Bertolt Brecht , to whom she was married from 3 November 1922 until September 1927. Their daughter Hanne Hiob Hanne Marianne was born on 12 March 1923. In 1928 Marianne Zoff married the actor Theo Lingen and Zoff s daughter Hanne grew up with her and Lingen. Lingen s popularity protected Zoff and her daughter, who were classified as Who is a Jew?
