    Rudi Supek Zagreb , 8 April 1913  Zagreb, 2 January 1993 was a Croatian sociologist and a member of the Praxis School of Marxism. Supek studied philosophy in Zagreb and graduated in 1937. He went to study clinical psychology in Paris , where he was when World War II erupted. He joined the resistance movement, but soon was captured and deported to the Buchenwald concentration camp, where he took part in the Buchenwald Resistance . After the liberation, Supek went back to Paris to continue living and studying there. In 1948, after the Informbiro Resolution against Josip Broz Tito s Yugoslavia, the leader of the French Communists Maurice Thorez asked Supek, who was member of the French Communist Party , to attack Titoism . Supek refused to comply and returned to Yugoslavia. However, he did not become a member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia . Supek earned his PhD from Sorbonne in 1952 and started to work as a Professor at the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy, Zagreb Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy and at the Institute of Social Researches in Zagreb. He founded the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in 1963. Supek became the first president of the Yugoslav Society of Psychologists and for a period he was the president of the Yugoslav Society of Sociologists. Rudi ajavec April 1, 1911 July 2, 1942 was a Yugoslavia Yugoslav pilot from Bosnia and Herzegovina , best known as the first airman of Partisans Yugoslavia Partisan air force. Rudi ajavec was born in Zgo a, Kakanj municipality, Bosnia to a family that originally came from Hrvatsko Zagorje . Before the war he studied law at University of Belgrade where he participated in various left wing groups and was arrested. He also finished school for reserve officers and was a trained pilot. After Axis powers Axis invasion of Kingdom of Yugoslavia Yugoslavia and establishment of Independent State of Croatia he came to Banja Luka where he joined resistance movement . As a reserve lieutenant he was drafted into the Air Force of the Independent State of Croatia Croatian Air Force of the NDH. On May 21 1942 he flew his Breguet 19 biplane and defected with his gunner Mi o Jazbec to Partisans. He landed near Partisan controlled Prijedor . The date would later be marked as the Day of Yugoslav Air Force. Partisans immediately started to use their own plane. On July 2 1942 ajavec made an air raid on Banja Luka, which included strafing the local airfield, dropping bombs on important city buildings as well as leaflets on city streets. The plane was damaged by anti aircraft artillery, and ajavec was forced to crashland on territory controlled by Chetniks .
