Wikify date August 2011 Russell Peters Red, White, and Brown is a stand up comedy album by Russell Peters , filmed at the WAMU Theatre in Madison Square Garden on February 2, 2008. ref cite web url http www.russellpeters.com News.aspx title The Official Russell Peters Website publisher Russellpeters.com date 2010 11 15 accessdate 2012 03 08 ref It was released in Canada in September 2008 and in the US on January 2009. The DVD will include two hours of bonus features such as deleted content and commentaries. One of the extras is titled White Jacket Bootleg which features Russell s brother, Clayton Peter, as well as director Jigar Talati which further reflects the comedy style of Russell Peters. Russell Peters Red, White, and Brown continues to have the theme of targeting racial stereotypes in a comedic fashion. Like prior albums, Russell Peters also imitates various accents for a greater comedic effect. He also uses impromptu to engage his audience and to improve the quality of his performance. One large difference in this show however, is that this album involves comedy on Russell Peters self reflection on his trip to India. Peters describes how he went on the plane with Indian pride but turned Canadian as soon as he stepped off the plane. This further leads to more observations regarding race and culture. It was built by Don Joaquin Moraga who was the grandson of Jose Joaquin Moraga an early Spanish explorer in California who founded the city of San Jose, California In 1835, Mexico granted 13,326 acres, El Rancho Laguna de los Palos Colorados, to Joaquin Moraga and his cousin Juan Bernal. Six years later in 1841, Joaquin built this house, which is the oldest of the five surviving adobe house in Contra Costa County. The adobe sits on a knoll at the center of the 20 acre property of whats left of the once 13,000 acre grant. The house has been restored and remodeled twice since it was photographed for HABS, first in 1941 when Katharine Brown White Irvine of Oakland, California purchased the old adobe, making additions such as adding three bedrooms and a veranda, and covering the adobe walls and again in 1964 when it was incorporated into a private home. The house is not accessible to the public and it is fenced off. However, it was photographed in 1922 for the Historical American Building Survey HABS . Today, the Moraga Adobe is privately owned and unoccupied. The overall condition of the original adobe section and the more modern addition is neglected, but the building appears sound.
