    Rutgers Day is a day of free events and performances hosted by Rutgers University Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey . The first Rutgers Day took place Saturday, April 25, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and attracted 50,000 visitors to university campuses in New Brunswick and Piscataway, New Jersey Piscataway, N.J. Rutgers Day expanded on the university s long standing traditions of Rutgers Ag Field Day and the New Jersey Folk Festival , which also occurred that day. The day featured performances, tours, exhibits, hands on activities, lectures, demonstrations, children s programs and more aimed at the general public, parents and children, teens, current and prospective students, and alumni. The third annual Rutgers Day will be held on April 30, 2011. Admission is free.     Multiple issues refimprove January 2009 update October 2010 Rutgers Agricultural Field Day is a farm oriented event held at Rutgers University s School of Environmental and Biological Sciences Rutgers University Cook Campus in New Brunswick, New Jersey on the last Saturday of April. The event includes 4 H animal fairs, farm tours, plant sales, and department specific exhibits such as the entomology department s cockroach races. The next Ag Field Day will take place on April 28, 2012, as part of a larger Rutgers Day celebration. History Started in 1906, Ag Field Day began as a way for farmers to learn about the NJ Agricultural Experiment Station s studies. It expanded to lectures, demonstrations and tours in 1917, and was later embraced by students as a party focal point. For some libraries, items acquired prior to 1972 were not automatically included in IRIS, but are being progressively added to the database. IRIS indicates which libraries own each title as well as the availability of each copy of every title. IRIS has been configured to support direct export to the RefWorks bibliographic management system. IRIS records can be marked and then saved directly into a RefWorks account. After he obtained his master s degree in 1926 he went to Leiden , where he studied theoretical physics under Paul Ehrenfest .
