The SantaClara Swim Club is a renowned swimming club and team based in SantaClara, California . Founded in 1951 by George Haines , the team s coach until 1974, the club has many notable alumni, including Donna de Varona , Pablo Morales , Don Schollander , Mark Spitz , Chris von Saltza , Lynn Burke , George Harrison swimmer George Harrison , Stephen Clark swimmer Steve Clark , and Paul Hait . It is the second largest aqueduct in Portugal. It was built between 1626 and 1714 and has 999 arches stretching for 4 km from the spring of Terroso in P voa de Varzim to the Convent of SantaClara, Vila do Conde convent of SantaClara in Vila do Conde. It is a national monument since 1910. Despite its legal protection, several arches fell as recently as December 2009 and the destroyed arches were not recovered.
