Polali Shri Raja Rajeshwari temple is situated on the banks of the Gurupura River river Phalguni . The temple is situated in Dakshina Kannada district . Primary deity of the temple is goddess Raja Rajeshwari with Ganapathi , Subramanya , Bhadrakali on either sides of the idol. The idol of the main deity which is one of the largest is completely made of mud, therefore the idol is painted only once in 12 years unlike in other temples where the stone carved idols are cleaned everyday.
