SFTS cause high fatality rate of 12 and as high as 30 in some areas. The major clinical symptoms of SFTS are fever, vomiting, diarrhea, multiple organ failure, thrombocytopenia low platelet count , leucopenia low white blood cell count , and elevated liver enzyme level. SFTS occurs in rural areas from March to November, and a majority of cases are from April to July. In 2009 Xue jie Yu and colleagues isolated the SFTS virus SFTSV from SFTS patients blood. SFTSV is a Phlebovirus in the family of Bunyaviridae . The life cycle of the SFTSV most likely involves arthropod vectors and animal hosts. Humans are accidental hosts and play no role in the life cycle of the SFTSV. SFTSV has been detected from Haemaphysalis longicornis ticks. The transmission routine of SFTSV is unknown, but person to person transmission either plays no role or at least is not an important routine of transmission of SFTSV. ref http www.nejm.org doi full 10.1056 NEJMoa1010095 Yu XJ, Liang MF, Zhang SY, Liu Y, Li JD, Sun YL, et al. It is one of four basic categories of disruption of acid base homeostasis . Terminology Alkalosis refers to a high pH in tissue . Alkalemia refers to a high pH in the blood . Types There are two types of respiratory alkalosis chronic medicine chronic and acute medicine acute . Acute respiratory alkalosis occurs rapidly. During acute respiratory alkalosis, the person may lose consciousness where the rate of ventilation will resume to normal. Chronic respiratory alkalosis is a more long standing condition. For every 10 mM drop in pCO sub 2 sub in blood, there is a corresponding 5 mM of bicarbonate ion drop. The drop of 5 mM of bicarbonate ion is a compensation effect which reduces the alkalosis effect of the drop in pCO sub 2 sub in blood. This is termed metabolic compensation. 1. Severe Letter

The Severe Letter or Letter of Tears was a letter written to the Corinth ians by the Apostle Paul . It is mentioned in Second Epistle to the Corinthians 2 Corinthians 2 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. This description does not match First Epistle to the Corinthians First Corinthians , so there are two main theories on the Severe Letter The first theory is that the Severe Letter is lost. The second theory is that the Severe Letter is preserved in 2 Corinthians 10 13. ref http www.earlychristianwritings.com goodspeed ch05.html THE SECOND LETTER TO THE CORINTHIANS , from An Introduction to the New Testament , By Edgar J.
